HIGHLANDS OF TENNESSEE

     Highlands of Tennessee brochure
"Highlands of Tennessee" was commissioned by the Cookeville Area-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce in Tennessee as part of a four-year regional economic acceleration program for the area. The song highlights the beauty of the region and includes specific landmarks, such as Burgess Falls, Big South Fork and the Caney Fork River.

CDs of the song were produced and included in a full-color, 12-page promotional brochure designed to encourage participation in the $2.2 million initiative. The song’s lyrics were spread throughout the brochure, accenting text and photos. Performed by the well-respected bluegrass group The Cluster Pluckers, "Highlands of Tennessee" has received radio airplay in Middle Tennessee. The group also recorded a complete instrumental and shorter versions ending with the line, "Come Up to the Highlands of Tennessee" for possible use in public service announcements, television and radio ads and videos. The song is also featured on the Chamber’s web site.
